If you are a BES Admin and have problems to push wireless some software (e.g. the IBM Sametime client) to your users this short tip may help you (this can happen at the moment when your user use a BlackBerry Storm).

At first open the BlackBerry Manager (not the Desktop manager), go to BlackBerry Domain -> Software Configuration Status (on the right side, its a tab). In the list check for the following line:

GetHHCodePackagesreported: HHCM_DEVICE_NOT_SUPPORTED. Upgradeyourcopy of device.xml

If you see it (and the date is from today or yesterday, ...) then download the latestdevice.xml and vendor.xml from the RIM Website:

https://www.blackberry.com/Desktop/Download/XML/Device.xml

https://www.blackberry.com/Desktop/Download/XML/Vendor.xml

Copy these files to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader.

For more information see "How to update the device.xml file ".

NSD is an important tool to dump information in case of a PANIC or other Domino Server (or notes client) problems. The NSD files contain information you can provide to IBM to determine the cause of the software problem. A Better NSD files means it is easier to determine the root cause of your Domino servers problem!

You can find the updated NSD Files here.

Sometimes you need a empty document collection, but there is no known example in the AdminHelp how to create such a collection. I saw people who use a empty view to build such a empty document collection. But  there is a easier way (I found it in the mail8.ntf)

Set yourDb = session.currentdatabase
Dim yourDocCollection as NotesDocumentCollection
Set yourDocCollection = yourDb.CreateDocumentCollection()

And voila ... a empty document collection.
