Detailed information for the notes.ini Keyword:

POP3Address

Short Description: Specifies the IP address or fully qualified domain name of a POP3 server running on a partitioned server.

Description:

Specifies the IP address (for example, 192.168.147.12) or fully qualified domain name (for example test.acme.com) of a POP3 server running on a partitioned server. To run a POP3 server on a partitioned server, you must add this setting.

It should be set to the IP address on which the server should listen. Without this Variable on Partitioned Servers the POP3 server will not work, therefore, on partitioned servers where each server has a unique IP address. Sharing an IP address will not work (unless each server listens on a different port for POP3, which would mean using non-standard ports other than 110).
