Detailed information for the notes.ini Keyword:

Server_Max_Concurrent_Trans

Short Description: Sets the limit for the number of concurrently scheduled transactions on a server.

Description:

Sets the limit for the number of concurrently scheduled transactions on a server.

Regulates the number of concurrent transactions that can occur in a server at tne time. When the number of concurrent transactions is reached, the other transactions are put into a wait state until one of the active transactions completes.

This control was very important before IOCP thread pools were introduced in Domino 5. From Domino 5 onwards, this control still has use in controlling the number of concurrent transactions, which affects how virtual memory may be needed at any one time.

The maximum value for this setting is 50.

Attention:
If you set this parameter, be aware that IOCP threads will default to two times
this number. Do not change this variable unless advised to do so by technical support.

Default value:
20 on all platforms except 3/390 where it is -1

Syntax:
Server_Max_Concurrent_Trans=number of transactions

Server_Max_Concurrent_Trans=50
