Detailed information for the notes.ini Keyword:

LOG_DisableTXNLogging

Short Description: Setting this parameter to 1 ensures that transaction logging will be disabled by default when a new log.nsf is created.

Description:

To improve performance with IBM Lotus Domino Tranaction Logging you can disable transaction logging for some databases where logging is not necessary, or just too expensive in terms of IO performance.

Setting this parameter to 1 ensures that transaction logging will be disabled by default when a new log.nsf is created. This will reduce resource demands on Domino.

Recommendation:
Set Log_DisableTXNLogging=1 in the NOTES.INI.

Restarts:
The server needs to be restarted for this configuration change to take effect.

Default value:
When this setting is absent or set to 0, and transaction logging is enabled for the server, then LOG.NSF will be enabled with transaction logging enabled by default.

Syntax:
LOG_DisableTXNLogging=0/1

Example:
LOG_DisableTXNLogging=1

UI equivalent:
There is no kown UI setting for this notes.ini variable. But you can specify this setting in the notes.ini settings tab of the configuration settings document.
