Detailed information for the notes.ini Keyword:

SMTPSaveFileFrom

Short Description: Used in connection with SMTPSaveImportErrors to save MIME information.

Description:

SMTPSaveFileFrom=string is used in combination with SmtpSaveImportErrors=3.
keeps log files after conversion if string partially matches with RFC822 “from”

SMTPSaveFileFrom=string is used in combination with SmtpSaveImportErrors=3 to limit which mails the system save. string is part of the RFC822 From: field in the MIME data in mails we wish to save.

Example:
The following notes.ini parameters have been added to a Domino SMTP server.
SMTPSaveImportErrors=3
SMTPSaveFileFrom=Joe.Blocks

An SMTP session like the one below occurs with Domino who is in the domain example.com.

EHLO mx1.acme.com
MAIL FROM: Joe.Blocks@acme.com
RCPT TO: recipient@acme2.com
DATA
     Subject: Your new Website looks fantastic...
     From: Joe.Blocks@acme.com
     To:recipient@acme2.com

      Mail body text
      .
QUIT

Because the RFC822 From field in the MIME matches the string set with the parameter SMTPSaveFileFrom, the MIME stream of the conversation will be saved. For other inbound MIME mails where this match is not made, the MIME stream will not be saved.

Attention:

This parameter is undocumented so please use it only when the support instruct you to do so.
