Detailed information for the notes.ini Keyword:

iNotes_WA_ArchiveUseHTTPHostName

Short Description: Optional notes.ini parameter to allow DWA to use the HTTP hostname when generating a URL.

Description:
Question
By default, Lotus Domino Web Access (DWA) constructs the archive URL from the SMTPFullHostDomain or the Fully qualified Internet host name field in the Basics tab of the Server document. This may cause problems when the HTTP host name is different from the fully qualified domain name.

Answer
A fix has been included in Domino 7.0.4 and 8.0 which allows the URL to be constructed from the HTTP_HostName item which is entered in Host name(s) field in Internet Protocols > HTTP tab.

Add iNotes_WA_ArchiveUseHTTPHostName=1 to the server notes.ini file to resolve issues where the hostname is different from the fully qualified domain name.

This solution applies to various cases. The notes.ini variable iNotes_WA_ArchiveUseHTTPHostName contains the word "Archive" as it was originally created for an archive link issue. However, it can resolve other issues related to accessing other users calendars and other mail file links.
