Detailed information for the notes.ini Keyword:

Debug_Name_Update_Statistics

Short Description: Will dump out all relevant code areas using the internal NameLookup service; provides per component statistics.

Description:
DEBUG_NAME_UPDATE_STATISTICS=1: Will dump out all relevant code areas using the internal NameLookup service; provides per component statistics as explained below.

NOTE: With the DEBUG_NAME_UPDATE_STATISTICS enabled, you get per area stats on update requests, plus some other information. The flags shown in the stats as (*NAMEUpdateCollectionReq*) are associated with the specific areas requesting the update. Since the DEBUG_ENABLE_UPDATE_FIX=8191 .ini parameter is "all on" and will suppress unnecessary updates, these *NAMEUpdateCollectionReq* statistics will all be zero (0) because the unnecessary updates are suppressed. The *NAMEUpdateCollectionReq* stats will only show unnecessary updates.
******************************************
The following section shows the summary flags for the statistics:

Debug parameter name

Functional area

Description

NAMELookupTotalNIFUpdateCollectionReq

NameLookup Service

Number of update collections requested

NAMEUpdateCollectionReq.NAMEGetNSModifiedTime

NameLookup Service

Number of update collection requests in NameGetNSModifiedTime function

NAMEUpdateCollectionReq.NAMELookup

NameLookup Service

Number of update collection requests in NameLookup function

NOTE: It is alright for the statistics in NameLookup Services to show updates to the collections. The collections need to be updated or else the views in the NAB would become outdated.

It is not alright for other subsystems outside of NameLookup to be updating collections in the NAB. Therefore, the other functional areas outside of NameLookup should all equal zero.
