Short Description: Allows debugging the Domino Internet Password Lockout feature.
|The Lotus® Domino® 8 server introduces a new feature named Internet Password Lockout, which is documented in the Domino Administrator Help. This feature allows administrators to lock out Internet users if they fail to authenticate a number of times. This feature is only available for HTTP login failures at this time.
Is there a way to debug this feature if you enable it but find that it is not working properly?
|Yes, you can enable the following notes.ini file parameter to gather diagnostic information:
The diagnostic information returned is about the checks the server is making to determine whether or not the user is locked out, when the server adds a strike against the user, as well as when the user is cleared.
This parameter is dynamic and does not require a server or HTTP restart, but the Internet Lockout feature must already be enabled.
Be aware that debug parameters increase the amount of output to log files; remove the debug parameter when you have completed troubleshooting.
There is no kown UI setting for this notes.ini variable. But you can specify this setting in the notes.ini settings tab of the configuration settings document.
