Detailed information for the notes.ini Keyword:

DIIOPNotesPort

Short Description: Prevents the error "NSF monitor pool is full" when clients do not connect to the server to retrieve subscription events that have been generated for them.

Description:
You might need to use DIIOPNotesPort to bind an IP address in the following cases: DIIOP is running on a partitioned server. One partition needs to use one NIC card / IP Address, another partition needs to use the other NIC card / IP Address. DIIOP is running on a server with multiple NIC cards and access to multiple networks. The administrator needs to allow DIIOP access only for one NIC card/network and not others. The DIIOPNotesPort parameter affects which TCP/IP Address that the DIIOP task will listen on for inbound connections. To effectively use the DIIOPNotesPort parameter, you might need to do some additional configuration. The host information that DIIOP publishes in the IOR may need to be updated. There are a various ways to affect the host information that is published in the IOR, as follows: Default behavior On a server that does not have Internet Sites enabled, the default behavior for determining the host information for DIIOP IOR is to use TCP/IP Address of the fully qualified Internet hostname as it appears in the Basics tab of the Server document. The DIIOPIORHost .ini variable One way to override the default behavior is to use the notes.ini variable DIIOPIORHost. The value provided in this notes.ini variable is used without any translations as the host for DIIOP's IORs. Host Name or Addess in the Internet Protocols and DIIOP tab Another way to override the default behavior is to use the host name setting in the DIIOP tab of the Server document. DIIOP Internet Sites When Internet Sites are enabled on the server, each internet site can be configured to use one or more addresses. Each internet site will have its own specific IOR and contains the first address or host name that appears in the Internet Site document. To determine what host information that DIIOP is using, you can enter the console command "tell diiop show config". On a server that does not have Internet Sites enabled, the command "tell diiop show config" reports the server contact information that is being published in the IOR using the label: "Public Host Name/Address: value" On a server with Internet Sites enabled, the command "tell diiop show config" reports the site contact information for each site separately, using the label: Site Public Host Name/Address: value"
