Detailed information for the notes.ini Keyword:

Debug_Sched_Age_MQ_Off

Short Description: Prevent the server to delete Sched messages in the system queue.

Description:

If used this notes.ini entry prevent the server to delete Sched messages in the system queue. This parameter will cause the Sched message queue to grow! This setting should have no negative impact on system performance and no server functionality should be lost. Messages that would have been deleted will be purged on shutdown.

--------------------------
You receive a server PANIC error that points to SchScanRqstCallback on a Lotus Domino® server.
Call stack from the Lotus Notes®.log:
[00184:00033--1207893985] PanicStack: decimal errno=0 / hexadecimal errno2=7140308

...

Cause
This situation occurs when a message in the Sched message queue is older than 10 minutes. SchScanRqstCallback checks to see if this is the message it is waiting for. If not and if the message is over 10 minutes old, it tries to delete it. However, if the message is corrupt, the server will panic when the system tries to delete it.
The message causing the server to panic does not belong to this address space. The Vpool lock pointer in the structure to be freed is also not valid for the address space.

Scheduling is done from Notes clients and from the web so both the Server process and HTTP process are sending messages.

Answer
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# LVAE5ZCGC3.
As a workaround, set the following notes.ini file variable as follows:

DEBUG_SCHED_AGE_MQ_OFF=1

NOTE: This parameter will cause the Sched message queue to grow but will prevent the panic error. This setting should have no negative impact on system performance and no server functionality should be lost. Messages that would have been deleted will be purged on shutdown.
